Statewide Landcare Team
The Statewide Landcare team consists of ten regional Landcare Coordinators, a Statewide Landcare Facilitator and a Landcare Research Analyst. The ten regional Landcare co-ordinators are hosted and managed by the state’s ten Catchment Management Authorities.
The State Landcare team oversees the implementation of the ten year Victorian Action Plan for Second Generation Landcare – Healthy Landscapes – Sustainable Communities. This team will also play a significant role in developing new approaches to increasing community participation in Natural Resource Management.
Over the next four years the team will focus on:

Developing 5 year Landcare support strategies for each CMA region

Developing 3 year investment plans to embed Landcare as a regional priority

Improving community input into Landcare and the NRM decision making process

Developing guidelines for the employment of Landcare Coordinators & Facilitators

Developing and implementing programs for Landcare Human Resource Management, OH&S and training needs.
Revisiting Our Landcare Support Strategy - One Year On
The purpose of re-visiting our Landcare Support Strategy is to make sure the 5 year strategy remains a “living” document. It also allows us to track our regions progress against the themes of the strategy.
The new part 2 insert (glossy 2 page flyer) and the report were tabled at the most recent Regional Landcare Forum (RLF).
The RLF was held in Leongatha on Monday 6th September 2005. At the forum all 4 Landcare Networks agreed to take 4 points highlighted in the report summary and action them.
