corner_inlet_map_copyThe Corner Inlet Catchment Ecosystem contains a diverse base of natural resources and is significant in terms of its environmental, economic and social values. With catchments rising in the Strzelecki Ranges, Corner Inlet CE is a high-rainfall catchment ecosystem. It is characterised by the short, dynamic and independent river systems of the Franklin, Agnes, Albert, Jack and Tarra Rivers and Bruthen Creek which drain from the Strzelecki Ranges to the internationally significant Corner Inlet Ramsar Site and Nooramunga Marine and Coastal Park. An important area for agriculture and fisheries, the Corner Inlet CE also contains areas of high environmental value such as Tarra Bulga and Wilsons Promontory National Parks, areas that attract visitors and residents alike.
