Have you observed flooding in the Avon River? Do you want to learn about your flood risk?

The West Gippsland Catchment Management Authority invites you to a community meeting to discuss the Avon River flood study. This project will update flood mapping for use in land use planning, emergency response and to price flood insurance.

Community members will be invited to discuss their experiences of flooding within the Avon River catchment. Thsi will help the project team to validate flood maps produced through computer modelling.

Even if you have never experienced a flood, please come along and chat with our team. They would love to “flood” you with information about the project and what it means for you.

Light refreshments will be provided.
