Event Details

Tree planting + views + organic food + camping all in one place at Gippsland Intrepids Landcare’s first event. Intrepid Landcare aims to provide a common space to connect, inspire and empower young Australians to join local environmental initiatives in their communities and across the world.

Anyone aged between the ages of 18 to 35 who wants to make a difference by helping plant indigenous plants to restore habitiat is very welcome to come along to this tree planting day. You’ll get to hang out in the fresh air, meet cool people, make a difference, eat some delicious food and contribute to a mammoth revegetation project of 24,000 indigenous plants.

Lunch will be provided by Udder and Hoe, a local food hub specialising in locally grown, zero waste, organic produce.

If you want to camp over we have a great campsite at the nearby Nyora Scout camp, It is nestled amongst the area’s largest patch of vegetation and is frequented by powerful owns (Australia’s largest owl and a threatened species), koalas, a plethora of other local flora and fauna.

This event is free, unless you want to camp overnight, then the cost will be $10 each, you will need to bring your own camping gear.

Make sure you wear sturdy shoes, bring a rain jacket, a water bottle.
