Event Details

Residents from Glengarry, Toongabbie, Tyers and surrounding areas are all welcome to come to a meeting to give Landcare a new lease on life in Glengarry.

The Glengarry Landcare group began nearly 20 years ago and initial projects included shade and shelterbelt plantations for livestock and weed management on private land.

We would love to hear from any community members or primary school children and families that would like to be involved in some great environmental projects going forward.

These projects may include:

  • Native vegetation planting on the rail trail
  • National Tree Day planting annually
  • Weed walks and identification
  • Bird watching and identification
  • Other local environmental projects
  • School educational programs

Over the past two years the LCLN has been successful in acquiring funding to undertake significant environmental projects including large scale revegetation works, school educational programs and the staging of community environmental events.

If you would like to learn more about Landcare in Glengarry and how you can be involved, please come along to our information session.

A light supper will be provided.

Please contact Marnie Ellis (LCLN Facilitator) for more information.
